Amazon adding hundreds of new jobs

Amazon announced on Wednesday it is hiring for hundreds of new positions at its site in Columbia, South Carolina.

According to a news release, the hourly positions will pick, pack and ship customer orders. All employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes both health insurance and company stock awards.

Cabs will be stationed at the following locations for the subsidized cab rides on December 31, between 11 pm and 3am:

  3. Near the corner of Lady Stree
