Sheriff: Man had sexual relations with girl, 14, for several months | News
KERSHAW COUNTY, SC (WIS)- A Camden man has turned himself in after authorities secured a warrant charging him with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 14 years of age.
Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews said investigators arrested 29-year-old Timothy Odell Holloman on Sunday.
On July 25, a Kershaw County Sheriff's Office deputy was dispatched to a Camden residence following the report that a 14-year-old girl had been sexually molested by Holloman, according to Matthews.
A Kershaw County Sheriff's Office investigator was notified and met the victim at Kershaw Health hospital where forensic evidence was collected and the victim and her mother provided the investigator with detailed statements. The investigator discovered that Holloman had been having sexual relations with the young girl for about a year, Matthews said.
In addition to a medical exam, a forensic interview was conducted by a trained specialist in sex crimes. Based on all of the evidence and interviews, the investigator obtained an arrest warrant for Holloman.
Holloman, upon learning of the warrant, initially fled when deputies attempted to locate him but later turned himself in to authorities at the Kershaw County Detention Center on July 28, the sheriff said.
Holloman has previous arrests for shoplifting and a narcotics violation, according to the sheriff.
The investigator attempted to interview Holloman, but Holloman exercised his Miranda rights and stated that he would not talk and wanted an attorney, Matthews said.
Holloman is being detained at the Kershaw County Detention Center on a $100,000.00 bond.
