Parental Input Needed for Accreditation Process | News
As part of its upcoming accreditation process, the Kershaw County School District is seeking input from parents about each school’s learning environment.
“Collecting data is a critical part of the accreditation process,” said Kershaw County School District Superintendent Frank Morgan. “In addition to test scores and other measures that we report, it is important that we have feedback from parents as to what we doing well and areas where we need to improve. I encourage all parents to let us know their thoughts.”
Morgan said that the survey is available through the school and district websites at www.kershaw.k12.sc.us through March 15. All survey respondents remain anonymous. The information will be compiled as a part of the report for the accreditation team visit October 6-9.
The short survey contains 35 questions concerning the various aspects of a school such as leadership, resources and expectations. There is also a place to provide additional comments.
Morgan said that parents who do not access to an Internet-based computer can visit any school or the district office to use one in order to complete the survey. Students and employees will also be surveyed to receive their input for the process.
