South Carolina’s Largest Baby Shower To Be Held May 11th

 

Get ready for South Carolina’s Largest Baby Shower! On Saturday, May 11th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. drop off baby supplies to select Walmart locations in Columbia, Sumter and Florence. The supplies will then be donated directly to the Pregnancy Resource Center in your area to help expecting mothers in need.

Camden, SC —May 7, 2013The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC) and the City of Camden are pleased to bring you the second annual A Taste of Camden on the Town Green, Saturday, May 18 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.

Last year, the Fine Arts Center and the City were host to hundreds of people who came out and enjoyed the food and entertainment, and crowds are expected again this year!

McDonald's to give free breakfast to students before PASS test

The 47 McDonald’s restaurants in the greater Columbia metropolitan area will serve students taking the South Carolina Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS) Test with a free breakfast on May 7, 2013.  

The free breakfast will include an Egg McMuffin and Apple Slices, with a choice of one percent low fat white Milk or a small Orange Juice.  

To redeem the free breakfast, students must present the attached coupon.

The coupon is good from 6 to 7 a.m. in store only.

Doby Mill Elementary invites you and your family out to their 6th annual Health, Fitness, and Conservation Fair.

Come out and enjoy a night of fishing with a simulator from the DNR, a bookmobile that will feature internet safety sessions, inflatables for children to jump on, numerous food vendors and fitness/health experts.

The event will take place on April 16th from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Doby Mill Elementary which is located at 1964 Fort Jackson Road in Lugoff.

Sheriff: More than $107K in unpaid child support lands man in jail

Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Cassatt man on a bench warrant issued by Family Court for failure to pay $107,728.11 in back child support. 

Deputies say 41-year-old Joseph McLemore was arrested on Monday at his residence in Cassatt and transported to the Kershaw County Detention Center.
