SC Forestry Commission says seedlings available

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The South Carolina Forestry Commission says it still has plenty of seedlings available as tree planting season comes to an end.

Foresters say the recent rains have made it a good time to plant one or two trees or reforest a whole track. The agency says it has a catalog of available trees, like loblolly and longleaf pines, available at its website at trees.sc.gov. The trees can be picked up at the Forestry Commission's Taylor Nursery near Edgefield or can be shipped. (Copyright 2013 The Associated Press.
