2nd Annual Chili Cook-off Fundraiser for the United Way of Kershaw County | Community Spirit
The United Way of Kershaw County is hosting its 2nd Annual Chili Cook-off this Saturday, November 3, 2012, on the Town Green in Camden, SC. The Chili Cook-off is for all ages to eat along with other enjoying other activities such as live music and a Halloween costume contest for children.
The cook-off is put on by the staff, board and campaign team to highlight their campaign. Donny Supplee, the President of the United Way of Kershaw County, states “In this day and time and especially as election approaches it seems that sometimes we are more divided as a community rather than united. It is our hope and plan that for a few hours this Saturday we put all of that aside and enjoy what we call commUNITY! Come join us on Saturday, November 3rd from 11am to 3pm at the Town Green in Camden, as we enjoy over 20 varieties of chili, the music of Reflections and celebrate our community at its finest.”
The United Way of Kershaw County has its entire community in mind. They fund nineteen agencies and have over a dozen partnerships that help address the many aspects of their community and its needs. The 2nd Annual Chili Cook-off’s goal is to help raise money for all of these agencies and partnerships that they support.
