In preparation for the exciting parade in Boykin Dec. 16, at 2 PM, the roads listed below will be closed at the direction of Capt. Ed Corey of the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department. Festival of Lessons and Carols to be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church

The combined choirs of Our lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church along with the Rosewood Chamber Ensemble and guest soloist Renee Kotsovos will join together to present A Festival of Lessons and Carols. The public is invited to attend this joyous and reflective presentation of music and readings as we prepare for the arrival of Christmas. The event will be held on Monday, December 17 at 7 p.m. at the Church, which is located at 1709 Lyttleton Street in Camden. A reception will follow. The event is free and offered by the church as a gift to the community.

Holiday Favorite A Christmas Story to Open December 13 at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County

Camden, SCDecember 5, 2012—One of the all-time favorite holiday movies turned stage production, A Christmas Story comes to life at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC.) Performances will be Thursday, December 13 through Sunday, December 16. Show times are at 8:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and a 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Directed by Frank Thompson and produced by Bryant Herring, this Camden Community Theatre production is sure to be a favorite with Camden audiences.
