Camden, SC--August 16, 2012 – Join us at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC) along with your neighbors and friends at the 2012 Arts Open House & Hot Dog Lunch on Saturday, August 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the FAC grounds.  Hosted by the FAC Multi-Cultural Committee, the event is free and the public is invited to attend.  Participate in a fun community art project; tours of the FAC; pottery, dance and music demonstrations; plus face painting.

National Farmers Market Week is August 5-11, but Hugh Weathers, South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture, is pleased to announce that Governor Nikki Haley has officially proclaimed August, Farmers Market Month in South Carolina.

South Carolina has participated in National Farmers Market Week since the year 2000 when it was first established by the U.S.D.A.  Governor Haley expanded Farmers Market Week to a month-long celebration in South Carolina extending opportunities for communities across the state to showcase their local markets.
