The festival offers two sessions, the first session will be from noon to 4 p.m., and the second session will be from 6 to 10 p.m. The festival will feature more than 150 beers from 70+ breweries including Columbia’s own Conquest Brewing Company. Festival goers will also have the option to purchase food from local restaurants; Blue Marlin, New York’s Famous Hot Dogs, Breaker’s Bar & Grill, J Gumbo’s, Village Idiot Pizza, The Oak Table and Wet Willy’s.
Tickets for the Columbia 2013 World Beer Festival are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.AllAboutBeer.com/WBF or at participating festival sponsor locations: Green’s, Morganelli’s Party Store and World of Beer. There are also a limited amount of VIP tickets available for purchase. VIP patrons get access to a separate lounge area, a catered meal and a unique selection of beers not available in the main beer gardens.
The Columbia World Beer Festival is also sponsored by the Bet Mar Liquid Hobby Shop, Carolina Ale House, Columbia Regional Business Journal and Flying Saucer Draught Emporium.
A portion of the proceeds from the festival will go to Columbia Opportunity Resource (COR). The mission of the World Beer Festival is to educate the public in beer appreciation and beer quality, and to build the local beer community. Every aspect of the World Beer Festival focuses on promoting the positive attributes of the growing beer culture.
