"Building Unity in the Community"-- Keep Safety Top of Mind, While Enjoying Family Fun.

As your Sheriff for the last 16 years, I have proudly led the Department with the philosophy and management style set on the corner stone of “Building Unity in the Community” through professionalism, commitment, vision and passion.

This October 7-13 the American Red Cross encourages families and businesses to learn how to protect themselves and others from fires in observance of National Fire Prevention Week.  Last year, the Red Cross responded to about 63,000 home fires across the country by providing comfort and basic necessities to more than 82,000 families.

“We respond to a disaster every eight hours across the Columbia Region,” said Scott R.

KERSHAW COUNTY, SC (WIS)- The Kershaw County Coroner has identified two people killed in a head-on crash near Cassatt Saturday.

Troopers say just after 3 p.m. Saturday, the driver of a vehicle headed north on US 1 crossed the center line south of Cassatt and sideswiped a pickup truck headed south.  The vehicle then crashed head-on into another southbound vehicle, killing both drivers.
